From Self-Love to Self-Worth: My Ongoing Journey of Healing
I’m going through a tough time—one that has challenged everything I believed about self-love. For the longest time, I thought self-love was enough. But on this journey of deep transformation, especially through coaching and personal growth, I’ve come to realize that self-love alone isn’t always the magic answer we hope it will be. Like many others, I grew up with the basics: food on the table and a roof over my head. That was what was expected, and that was what was given. In my era, doing chores was seen as the elders’ responsibility, and anything I did was not necessarily acknowledged or appreciated. I followed that mindset too. I did my best to take care of my family, putting aside my own ambitions and needs, hoping—maybe even expecting—that someone would see, appreciate, and love me for it.
