I Don't Fit Into the Corporate Box
Let me clarify something because I don't want my earlier sharing about the corporate world to be misunderstood.
I was not attacking the corporate world.
I was sharing my own inability to accept the rules and regulations that are set within a corporate environment — a world that is often clean, proper and effective.
If you heard me wrongly, my apology.
I simply cannot fit into that proper corporate world because I am a random person. I don't like to be boxed in.
And I must really thank my lucky stars that I was not fit enough to join the corporate world.
But that does not mean I reject people from that world.
In fact, I welcome anybody to come into my world.
And my world has what I would describe as high boundaries and low resistance.
Meaning, you come in to be yourself with your full energy, and yet you understand what can be done and what cannot be done, what should be done and what shouldn't be done.
There is no need to keep asking whether something is right or wrong according to somebody else's standard.
Sometimes you simply know that something needs to be done.
Then you do it.
For example, sometimes you have to sack somebody.
You just have to sack them.
In my 35 years of being a manager, I only sacked two people — actually, three.
Not because I wanted to.
It was because they were creating too much disharmony within the team.
Of course, in the corporate world, there are different tools and procedures. You follow the SOP. If someone is not performing according to the rules, there are warnings, processes and eventually the right to ask that person to leave.
And most people, whether they are in a corporate environment or running something on their own, will do their best to avoid reaching that point.
Because nobody wants to admit that they hired somebody who was not the right fit for the organisation.
So remember, the corporate world can be a very proper world.
It is just not my world.
That's all I'm saying.
I welcome anybody and everybody, from any kind of world, to come into our world — what I call the world for the children of the universe — where you can become yourself.
Just for this one hour, from 9 to 10.
And even if I am not in the room, you can still create that one hour for yourself.
Switch on some music.
Switch on meditation.
Listen to Solfeggio frequencies.
Do whatever works for you.
Just for one hour, be with yourself.
Detox.
Purge your thoughts.
And remember: you are allowed to create your own way of coming back to yourself.
So, my apology if I sounded unethical when I commented on corporates.
That is simply where I don't fit in.
Thank you for giving me a chance to explain.
