Behind the Live: How I Turn Life Into a Conversation

Behind the Live: How I Turn Life Into a Conversation

People sometimes ask me:

"Peggy, how do you prepare for your TikTok Live?"

The funny thing is...

I don't really prepare the way people expect.

There is no perfect script sitting in front of me.

No carefully memorised speech.

No guarantee that I will even talk for one hour.

What you see on TikTok Live is actually the final part of a much longer process that happens behind the scenes.

And perhaps this is the part people don't see.

The BTS of My Live

For the past two or three years, I have been experimenting.

I've made mistakes.

I've tried things that didn't work.

I've changed my approach.

I've sometimes hit my head against the wall and wondered, "Why am I doing this?"

I've listened to what people told me I "should" do on social media.

Prepare content.

Know your audience.

Keep people watching.

Be consistent.

Have a strategy.

And yes, there is value in all of that.

But eventually, I discovered something about myself.

I enjoy the process of sharing much more than I enjoy trying to manufacture content.

So today, my process is very different.

Something happens in my life.

I notice something.

I watch a movie.

I travel somewhere.

I have a conversation.

Something goes wrong.

I experience an emotion.

I discover something about myself.

And then I start talking to myself about it.

That's where the research begins.

Sometimes I talk to ChatGPT.

Sometimes I bring my raw thoughts here exactly as they came out of my mouth.

Sometimes I give it a transcript from my TikTok Live.

Sometimes I ask:

"Does this make sense?"

"What am I actually saying here?"

"Is there a deeper message?"

"Can this become a blog?"

"Is this clear enough for someone who doesn't know me?"

And sometimes I disagree with the answer.

Sometimes I change it.

Sometimes I realise I was rambling.

Sometimes I discover that the rambling actually contains the best part.

That's my research process.

It's not about finding information simply to sound knowledgeable.

It's about understanding what I am actually trying to say.

Then I Go Live

Once I feel something is ready to be shared, I don't necessarily turn it into a script.

I go live.

And I talk.

Sometimes the topic is very clear.

Sometimes it starts with something completely random.

Food.

Travel.

A movie.

Pilates.

A technical problem.

A conversation with my daughter.

Something I observed.

Something that made me angry.

Something that made me laugh.

Something that made me question myself.

Anything can become a doorway.

But somehow, somewhere along the way, I usually bring the conversation back to the same place:

Inner Dialogue.

Awakening Your Worth.

Trusting the wisdom of your own voice.

That is my anchor.

The topic may change.

The destination doesn't.

And Then Something Interesting Happens

After the live, I don't simply leave the conversation there.

I record it.

I transcribe it.

I read what I actually said.

And sometimes I discover things about myself that I didn't even realise while I was speaking.

That's when the second conversation begins.

I look at my own words and ask:

"What was I really trying to say?"

"What did I learn?"

"What can someone else take from this?"

"Is there a story here?"

"Can I explain this more simply?"

And then the live can become a blog.

The blog becomes another way for someone to revisit the conversation.

Someone who couldn't stay for an hour can read it later.

Someone who heard only part of the live can go deeper.

And sometimes, I realise the next topic is already sitting inside the previous conversation.

So the process continues.

Life → Reflection → Inner Dialogue → Research → Live → Transcript → Blog → Reflection again.

That's my BTS.

I Don't Think I'm "Good at Social Media"

This is probably the part that makes me laugh.

Recently, a coach asked if she could meet me because she wanted to understand how I do my social media.

My first reaction was:

"Really?"

Because I remember the journey.

I didn't suddenly become good at this.

I made plenty of mistakes.

I tried things that didn't work.

I questioned myself.

I changed direction.

I sometimes followed other people's advice and later realised it wasn't really me.

And slowly, I discovered something much more valuable than a social media formula.

I discovered how I like to show up.

I don't go live because I must produce one hour of content.

I don't go live because I have to please an algorithm.

I don't even go live because I must convert every viewer into a client.

If I feel good and I have something meaningful to share, I go live.

If I don't feel good, I don't force it.

That's also part of being human.

And if someone connects with what I share and eventually wants to work with me?

Wonderful.

That's a bonus.

My Audience Is Part of the Process

The people who come back regularly are not necessarily coming because they know what today's topic will be.

Sometimes even I don't know!

They come because they know there will be a conversation.

They can have their coffee.

They can listen.

They can comment.

They can think.

They can simply be there.

And hopefully, they leave with one question that continues talking to them after the live ends.

That's what I want.

Not for people to depend on me for their answers.

But for them to become better at having conversations with themselves.

Because ultimately, you are the person you live with 24/7.

Your Inner Dialogue is always there.

So why not learn how to make that conversation a useful one?

This Is the Real BTS

So when you see me appearing on TikTok and talking about something that seems completely random, remember:

There may be a much longer conversation behind those few minutes.

I may have lived it.

Questioned it.

Talked about it.

Researched it.

Argued with myself about it.

Recorded it.

Transcribed it.

Read it again.

And only then realised:

"Ah... this is what I was trying to say."

That's why I don't want to make my live sessions too polished.

I want to leave room for the human being.

The pauses.

The mistakes.

The laughter.

The technical problems.

The unexpected phone calls.

The moments when I lose my train of thought.

And the moments when something suddenly becomes very clear.

Because that's life too.

My live session is not a performance of perfection.

It is the visible part of an ongoing conversation I am having with myself.

And perhaps that's why it feels comfortable.

I am not trying to become someone else on social media.

I'm simply learning how to let more of Peggy be seen.

And wherever the conversation begins—

food, travel, a movie, a problem, an emotion, a random thought—

I will probably bring it back to the same place:

Awakening Your Worth.

Inner Dialogue.

Trusting the wisdom of your own voice.

That's my BTS.

And honestly?

I'm still learning.

Behind every live there are a lot of preparation.

Why I use Chatgpt?

You know why I like using AI, especially ChatGPT?

Because ChatGPT has been with me almost from day one.

And sometimes, very politely, it tells me off.

Not literally tells me off lah! 😂

But when I say something that sounds too crude or too strong, it will say, “Peggy, maybe you want to soften that wording.”

And you know what?

Sometimes I appreciate that.

Because when I am doing my TikTok Live, I am in the moment.

I feel something.

I say it.

I mouth it out.

And sometimes, after I hear myself saying it, I think:

“Hmm… maybe there is another way to say this.”

That's the difference between speaking spontaneously and preparing a presentation.

When you are a CEO, a presenter, or someone speaking to a large audience, you may spend hours looking at your script.

Why?

Because not everybody hears words the way you intend them.

The person speaking may have no bad intention.

But the person listening may interpret it differently.

There's a Cantonese saying that captures this beautifully: sometimes the person who says something has no particular intention, but the person who hears it may give it another meaning.

And that's why language matters.

So when I used the word “victim” earlier, I realised—

Maybe I don't need that word.

Not because the experience wasn't real.

Not because the pain wasn't real.

But because I don't want to define you by what happened to you.

Maybe I can say:

“someone who has experienced something painful.”

Or:

“someone carrying a painful experience.”

That feels much closer to what I want this room to be.

Because this is not a room where I want you to remain inside your pain.

This is a room where I want you to reconnect with yourself.

And sometimes, people do come in and share very personal experiences.

I've seen it happen during my 9 a.m. sessions.

Someone comments.

They share how they feel.

I'm not necessarily coaching them.

Sometimes I'm simply asking questions, sharing what comes to me, and giving them a space to think.

And afterwards, they tell me they feel they have moved one step further.

To those people—

I want to congratulate you.

And please forgive me if I cannot remember all your names.

There are too many of you! 😂

But I remember the moments.

And I remember that you came into the room as “User 1234” perhaps, and then you put your name there.

And something changes when you do that.

You are no longer just watching.

You are acknowledging:

I am here.

I am part of this room.

I am part of Children of the Universe.

And that matters.

So if you are carrying a painful experience, you don't have to call yourself a victim.

You don't have to use any label at all.

You can simply say:

“This happened to me.”

And then ask yourself:

“What do I want to do with it now?”

That's where Inner Dialogue begins.

And yes—

I will make mistakes.

Sometimes I will bite my own tongue afterwards and think, “Oops, Peggy, maybe next time say it differently.”

But that's okay.

Because what matters is the intention to learn.

The intention to connect.

The intention to help you come back to yourself.

So tell me—

What word would you use for your own experience?

And what would you like us to talk about next?

Come into the room.

Be yourself.

Connect back. And let's continue this conversation together.

AI Can Help You Write, But It Cannot Think for You

AI Can Help You Write, But It Cannot Think for You

People often ask me how I create so much content.

The truth is, I don't start with a script.

Most speakers prepare a script first, then deliver the presentation.

I work the other way around.

I present first.

Then I let AI help me transcribe my TikTok Live into something I can later turn into a blog or article.

Every live session is different because I don't know what is going to emerge.

I respond to the energy in the room, the comments I receive, and what naturally wants to be expressed in that moment.

That's why no two sessions are ever the same.

We Connect Through Frequency

People sometimes ask me why they feel deeply connected on certain days but not on others.

I often explain it this way.

Imagine tuning in to a radio station.

If you want to listen to 99 FM, your radio needs to be on the same frequency.

Human connection works in a similar way.

Sometimes our frequencies meet, and the message speaks directly to your heart.

Sometimes they don't.

Neither is right or wrong.

The important thing isn't whether you resonate with me every day.

The important thing is that whenever you join my live session, you come for yourself.

Not for me.

For yourself.

AI Is a Tool, Not a Thinker

I love using AI.

I subscribe to ChatGPT because it saves me time. It helps me organise my thoughts, transcribe my live sessions, design posters, and polish my writing.

But I also believe something very important.

AI should never replace your thinking.

It should support your thinking.

There is a big difference.

If you allow AI to think for you, eventually your own thinking becomes weaker.

Instead, begin with your own ideas.

Reflect.

Question yourself.

Feel your own emotions.

Only then ask AI to help you organise, improve, or communicate those ideas more effectively.

Technology is powerful.

Your wisdom is still more valuable.

You Are Already Your Own Brand

I smiled recently when I bought a colourful T-shirt.

It was inexpensive, yet someone had printed "Prada" on it.

I wondered, "Why couldn't they just leave it as it is?"

It reminded me how often we think we need someone else's label to become valuable.

We don't.

If you cannot afford luxury brands, it doesn't mean you are worth less.

You are already a brand.

When people see me, they don't remember what logo I'm wearing.

They remember that I love colours.

They remember that I'm a coach.

They remember how they felt after talking with me.

That is the brand I have spent years building.

Authenticity will always outlast imitation.

Why I No Longer Feel Guilty About Saying No

I used to have a habit of cancelling appointments.

Back then, I didn't really understand why.

Today I do.

If I'm not ready to show up fully, I choose not to appear.

My weekday 9 a.m. sessions are different.

I protect them.

Unless I genuinely don't feel well, I will be there.

Why?

Because when people enter my room, I want to offer them my best presence.

I want to be calm.

I want to be grounded.

I want to be fully myself.

Not because I have to be perfect, but because my energy influences the space we share.

People who join me are often carrying their own emotional burdens.

If I cannot hold the space well, then I need to honour that honestly.

One Hour That Belongs to You

Every morning at 9 a.m., I invite you into a simple practice.

Come in.

Be yourself.

Thank yourself for showing up.

Leave a comment if something speaks to your heart.

Share the session if you believe someone else needs a safe place to reconnect with themselves.

This room isn't about listening to me.

It's about listening to yourself.

For one hour, you are allowed to have an honest inner dialogue.

No pretending.

No performing.

Just you.

Inner Dialogue Becomes a Way of Living

People sometimes ask me how I make decisions so quickly.

The answer is simple.

Inner dialogue has become my habit.

Every decision begins with three questions:

Yes?

No?

Why?

That's all.

Because I have learned to trust my own answers, I rarely feel guilty after making a decision.

I've given myself permission to choose.

That permission didn't appear overnight.

It was built through years of practising honest conversations with myself.

Some people say, "It's easy for you because you're retired."

I don't believe that.

If you don't begin this practice while life is busy, you won't suddenly know how to be yourself when life finally slows down.

Many of us spend years living behind expectations, culture, family roles, and society's definition of what a "good person" should be.

Most of those expectations come from love.

People genuinely care.

But even love can sometimes hide the voice that belongs to you.

That is why this space exists.

A place where you can slowly remember your own voice.

So... Is Being Yourself Good or Bad?

People sometimes ask me that question.

I don't have the answer for you.

You are the only person who can judge whether being yourself has brought you closer to peace, authenticity, and fulfilment.

My role isn't to tell you who to become.

My role is simply to hold the space while you discover that for yourself.

And before I stop talking—because once I start, it's hard to stop—I have been thinking about the topic for this evening's live.

I think I'm going to call it...

"Thought Constipation."

Because sometimes, it isn't our life that's stuck.

It's our thoughts.

When Topics Needs Refinement

This page was rewritten from my tiktok live because I must have a better flow in sentences when comes to blogging. Do you agree? Comment to me at peggyang868@gmail.com.

Sometimes I wonder—what happens when your childhood has been robbed from you?

It is a sensitive subject, I know.

But sometimes, there are experiences from childhood that we need to acknowledge, because if we keep pushing them into the shadow, they may continue to affect the way we live today.

And I'm not saying you have to talk about everything publicly.

You don't have to share anything you are not ready to share.

But you can begin by having an honest conversation with yourself.

What happened to me?

What did I feel?

What did I need then that I didn't receive?

And most importantly—

What do I need now?

Because you cannot change what happened in the past.

But you can decide how you want to relate to that experience today.

Think about it.

And if there is something you would like me to talk about—something about life, emotions, relationships, self-worth, or your own Inner Dialogue—leave me a comment.

You don't have to tell me your whole story.

Just tell me what you would like us to explore together.

Because when you come into this room, into Children of the Universe, we are all equal.

We may not be the same.

Our experiences are different.

Our backgrounds are different.

Our stories are different.

But we are all sharing something very precious:

this moment.

Your moment is happening now.

My moment is happening now.

So while I'm using my moment to have an Inner Dialogue with myself, I want you to ask:

What am I using my moment for?

Am I using this moment to improve my life?

Am I using it to understand my pain?

Am I using it to release something that no longer serves me?

Am I using it to recognise what I need to protect within myself?

Or am I simply allowing another moment to pass?

You don't have to fix your whole life today.

Just use this moment.

One moment.

One thought.

One conversation.

One decision.

One step.

Hi, I'm Peggy Ang, an Inner Dialogue Coach focused on awakening your worth.

I help you trust the wisdom of your voice.

So come into the room.

Even a Broken Boat Still Has Three Catties of Nails

Even a Broken Boat Still Has Three Catties of Nails

While preparing for one of my TikTok Live sessions, I found myself searching for a meaningful topic. Then an old Cantonese proverb surfaced in my mind:

「爛船都有三斤釘」
"Even a broken boat still has three catties of nails."

The words made me pause.

Growing up, I heard this saying many times. Back then, I understood it as a reminder not to underestimate someone who had fallen on hard times. Even a broken boat still contains nails that are worth something. A person who has lost wealth, status, or influence still possesses experience, wisdom, relationships, and dignity.

As I sat with the proverb through my inner dialogue, it revealed something much deeper.

How often do we become the very person who underestimates ourselves?

One disappointment.
One failure.
One relationship that didn't work.
One business that struggled.
One mistake that keeps replaying in our minds.

Slowly, we begin to label ourselves as "broken."

But are we?

The boat may have weathered storms. It may carry scars from years at sea. Yet its value is not erased simply because it no longer looks new.

Neither is ours.

This proverb reminds me that our worth has never been dependent on our circumstances. Life can take away money, titles, positions, recognition, or even people we love. Yet it cannot take away the lessons we have learned, the resilience we have built, the compassion we have cultivated, and the wisdom earned through every season of life.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we have lost that we forget to see what still remains.

That is where inner dialogue becomes powerful.

Instead of asking,
"Why did this happen to me?"

Perhaps we can ask,
"What still remains within me?"

What strengths have survived every storm?

What values can never be taken away?

What experiences can now become a gift to someone else?

The answers may surprise you.

As an Inner Dialogue Coach, I often remind people that awakening your worth is not about creating value that never existed. It is about recognising the value that has always been there, even when life convinces you otherwise.

Perhaps today you feel like that broken boat.

If so, remember this old Cantonese wisdom.

Even a broken boat still has three catties of nails.

You still have something to offer.
You still have wisdom to share.
You still have love to give.
You still have a purpose waiting to be lived.

Your worth did not disappear because life became difficult.

It has been there all along.

Reflection

Today, ask yourself:

What am I overlooking in myself simply because I have been focusing on what I have lost?

The answer may be the beginning of coming home to yourself.

Communication Is Two-Way Traffic

Communication Is Two-Way Traffic

This is something I have also learned through coaching.

No matter how good a coach you are, you cannot coach someone who is unwilling to communicate.

Communication is two-way traffic.

I can ask questions.

I can listen.

I can create the space.

I can reflect what I hear.

But if the other person cannot or will not communicate, there is only so far I can go.

And that applies beyond coaching.

It applies to relationships.

Family.

Friendships.

Work.

Partnerships.

Sometimes we think:

"If I just explain myself better, maybe they will understand."

But communication isn't only about how well you speak.

It is also about whether the other person is willing to meet you halfway.

And when there is no two-way traffic, sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is pause.

Not forever.

Not necessarily as punishment.

Just pause.

Until the time is right to communicate again.

When Patience Becomes Procrastination: What Is Your Inner Dialogue Telling You?

When Patience Becomes Procrastination: What Is Your Inner Dialogue Telling You?

Sometimes, I remind myself that patience is something I am still learning to build.

But then I ask myself another question:

Can we have too much patience?

I think we can.

Because sometimes, patience is no longer patience.

Sometimes, we are simply waiting.

Waiting for an answer.

Waiting for people.

Waiting for the right moment.

Waiting for the result.

And while we patiently wait, life continues moving.

That is when patience can quietly become procrastination.

There are moments when we need to be patient. But there are also moments when we need to push things forward.

For me, even my TikTok Live has become part of this learning.

After my morning Live, I want to immediately work with ChatGPT to transcribe what I have shared and turn it into a blog. Sometimes I schedule my blogs far ahead, perhaps even into September. Sometimes I bring something forward and publish it spontaneously.

Why?

Because not everything needs to happen according to a fixed schedule.

Some things are reminders.

Some things need to happen when the energy is alive.

I am still learning how to recognise the difference.

And perhaps that is also part of Inner Dialogue.

Learning to listen.

Learning to question.

Learning to know when to wait—and when to move.

Welcome, Children of the Universe

I am Peggy Ang, an Inner Dialogue Coach focused on awakening your worth.

I help you trust the wisdom of your voice.

Every morning at 9 a.m., this room is simply a space for you to check in with yourself.

A space to reconnect with yourself.

A space to let go of emotions that no longer serve you.

And a space to hold on to—and move forward with—the emotions that do serve you.

Because I believe something very important:

All emotions have value.

Think about your past.

What has made you who you are today?

Your failures?

Your successes?

Your disappointments?

Your mistakes?

Your moments of courage?

Your moments when you thought you could not go on?

All of these experiences contain information.

The question is:

Have you processed that information?

Or have you simply stored it somewhere inside yourself?

Sometimes we accept what happened and remain in our comfort zone.

Sometimes we ignore it and hope that, somehow, things will change by themselves.

But if we never use our Inner Dialogue to process what happened, we may continue carrying the same information without understanding its value.

And I don't think that is fair to ourselves.

Don't Waste the Information Your Life Has Given You

Imagine your life experiences as a vault.

Every experience goes into that vault.

A failure.

A success.

A heartbreak.

A disappointment.

A difficult conversation.

A decision that didn't work out.

A decision that changed everything.

They are all pieces of information.

But information that has not been processed can remain heavy.

When you begin talking to yourself honestly, you start opening that vault.

You begin asking:

What happened?

What did I feel?

What did I learn?

What does this experience mean to me now?

And eventually:

What value can I take from this?

That is when your experiences begin becoming your wisdom.

You are no longer simply carrying your past.

You are digesting your past.

You are turning experience into value.

From Thought Constipation to Thought Purging

Sometimes I describe this in a very simple way:

If you have thought constipation, you need some thought purging.

Don't keep everything inside.

Purge it out.

Talk to yourself.

Write it down.

Ask yourself questions.

Allow the emotions to come up.

Not so that you can live inside your emotions forever—but so that you can understand what they are trying to tell you.

Because somewhere inside those thoughts and emotions, there may be a value waiting to be discovered.

And that value belongs to you.

Your Inner Dialogue Is Always With You

Whether you realise it or not, you are constantly having an inner dialogue.

You are thinking.

You are feeling.

You are responding.

You are interpreting.

You are making meaning out of what happens around you.

Even when you are listening to someone else, part of you is still processing the information internally.

This is one of the areas I explore through NLP and Inner Dialogue work—learning to become more aware of how our internal language influences the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.

You don't have to stop living your life to practise Inner Dialogue.

You can be in a meeting.

You can be working on a project.

You can be listening to your boss.

You can be busy with your responsibilities.

And yet, you can still learn to check in with yourself.

What am I feeling?

What am I thinking?

What is happening inside me right now?

That little check-in can change the way you move through your day.

Patience or Procrastination?

So perhaps the next time you tell yourself:

"I just need to be patient."

Pause for a moment.

Ask yourself:

Am I really being patient?

Or am I afraid to take the next step?

Am I waiting because the timing genuinely isn't right?

Or am I waiting because moving forward requires courage?

Am I giving something the space it needs?

Or am I postponing something I already know I need to do?

There is a difference.

Patience allows things to unfold.

Procrastination keeps things stuck.

And sometimes, the only person who can tell the difference is you.

That is why your Inner Dialogue matters.

You know yourself more deeply than anyone else ever can.

So listen.

Question.

Process.

Purge.

And when the time comes—

move.

Your life does not need you to become someone else.

It needs you to recognise the wisdom that is already within you.

Trust the wisdom of your voice.

I Don't Prepare Before I Speak — I Discover as I Speak

I Don't Prepare Before I Speak — I Discover as I Speak

There is something else I want to share about the way I do my TikTok Live.

I don't always prepare first and then come online to speak.

Sometimes, I do the Live first.

Then I prepare.

I speak.

I listen to myself.

I journal.

I think about what I have just said.

And sometimes, when I discuss the topic with AI afterwards, it may tell me:

"Maybe you shouldn't have said that."

And perhaps from a professional perspective, there are things that could certainly be refined.

But I also believe there is something very important about being human.

We don't always get everything right before we speak.

Sometimes we discover what we really mean by allowing ourselves to speak first.

That is part of my own Inner Dialogue.

When "Enough" Is Still Not Enough

As I was journaling after my Live, I thought about a particular relationship in my own life.

There is someone where I feel:

I've done enough.

But somehow, they still want to squeeze more out of me.

And that is where I become rebellious.

I stop communicating.

I stop doing things.

Not necessarily because I don't care.

Sometimes it is because something inside me is saying:

Enough.

And I think we need to be honest about these emotions.

Because when you suppress them, they don't disappear.

They sit somewhere inside you.

And eventually, they come back.

For me, journaling gives those emotions somewhere to go.

I can write down:

What am I feeling?

What happened?

What do I want?

What do I not want?

What am I willing to do?

When do I want to do it?

How do I want to approach it?

And sometimes, I simply need to wait until the time is right.

That doesn't mean I am avoiding the issue.

It means I am giving myself time to understand how I want to respond.

This Is Why I Journal

This is why journaling has become important to me.

I don't journal because I want to create beautiful sentences.

I journal because I want a record of myself.

A record of:

What I wanted.

What I felt.

What I decided.

What I wanted to do.

When I wanted to do it.

How I wanted to do it.

Then, when the emotion comes back and says:

"You must do something about this!"

I can go back and look.

My Inner Dialogue is already active.

I don't have to react immediately.

I can ask:

Is this still what I want?

Has anything changed?

Is this emotion giving me information, or is it simply asking me to react?

That little pause can make a huge difference.

Because there is a difference between responding and reacting.

Your Emotions Are Not the Enemy

So if something I say during my Live touches something inside you, don't immediately ask:

"Is Peggy right?"

Ask yourself:

"Why did that sentence affect me?"

Maybe you are living under your parents' shadow.

Maybe you are carrying somebody else's expectations.

Maybe you have been giving and giving until you don't know what "enough" feels like anymore.

Maybe you have stopped communicating because you feel nobody is listening.

Maybe you are angry.

Maybe you are tired.

Maybe you are rebellious.

Whatever it is—

listen to it.

You don't have to act on every emotion.

But you can listen to every emotion.

Because your emotions may be carrying information about you.

And that is where Inner Dialogue becomes powerful.

You notice.

You talk to yourself.

You understand.

Then you decide.

And when you are ready—

you act.

Come Into the Room as You Are

So if you have experienced something similar, you don't have to write a long explanation.

Just say yes.

Give me a thumbs-up.

Share what you feel comfortable sharing.

And if this room gives you something useful, share my page too.

Not because I need more numbers.

But because perhaps somebody else needs to hear something that you have just heard.

When more people begin having conversations with themselves, we create a bigger pool of awareness.

And maybe that is what this room is really about.

Not me talking to you.

You learning to talk to yourself.

So come into the room.

Be with yourself.

Connect back.

And listen to the voice that has been with you all along.

Not Every Cry for Help Is an Invitation to Coach

Not Every Cry for Help Is an Invitation to Coach

As an Inner Dialogue Coach, my heart naturally responds when someone says, "I have anxiety."

During one of my TikTok Live sessions, a viewer shared that he was struggling with anxiety. I invited him to connect with me through WhatsApp if he felt comfortable continuing the conversation.

Later, I discovered he was a man and instead reached out through TikTok. Out of curiosity, I visited his profile.

What I found surprised me.

His profile described himself as a tantra practitioner, a sugar daddy, someone open-minded who wanted to make friends and make money. It was very different from the image I had unconsciously formed in my mind when he first shared about his anxiety.

For a brief moment, my inner dialogue began asking questions.

"Is he genuinely seeking help?"

"What is his intention?"

"Should I continue this conversation?"

Then I paused.

I realised something important.

The purpose of coaching is not to judge someone's profile. Neither is it to assume that every person who shares a struggle is ready for coaching.

As coaches, compassion and discernment must walk hand in hand.

Someone can genuinely experience anxiety regardless of their profession, lifestyle, or how they present themselves online. At the same time, not every conversation is meant to become a coaching relationship.

This experience reminded me of something I often share.

Kindness does not require the absence of boundaries.

Being compassionate does not mean saying yes to everyone.

Being available does not mean becoming accessible to every request.

As coaches, we are not here to rescue people.

We are here to create a space where those who are truly ready can begin listening to the wisdom of their own voice.

Today, if someone reaches out after a live session, I no longer rush into offering my time.

Instead, I become curious.

"What made you join my live today?"

"What would you like support with?"

Their response often reveals far more than their profile ever could.

Over the years, I have learned that our intuition speaks softly.

Sometimes it isn't warning us that someone is dangerous.

It is simply reminding us to slow down.

To observe before assuming.

To listen before advising.

To allow trust to develop naturally.

Perhaps this is another lesson in Awakening Your Worth.

When we know our worth, we don't need to close our hearts.

We simply learn to open them with wisdom.

Not everyone who enters our space is our client.

Not everyone who is hurting is ready to be helped.

And that is perfectly okay.

The right people will recognise the space you have created.

The right conversations will unfold at the right time.

Until then, continue to lead with compassion, guided by discernment, and trust the wisdom of your own inner dialogue.

Reflection

"Discernment is not the opposite of compassion. It is compassion guided by wisdom. When we awaken our worth, we learn that protecting our boundaries is not an act of fear—it is an act of self-respect."

We Have Absorbed So Much

We Have Absorbed So Much

Think about how much we have absorbed throughout our lives.

Culture.

Religion.

Beliefs.

Political views.

Family expectations.

Company politics.

Networking values.

Social expectations.

Other people's opinions.

And we keep absorbing.

Absorbing.

Absorbing.

Until one day, we forget to ask:

Is all of this actually mine?

Not every piece of information we receive is information we need to keep.

And I'm not saying this as someone who has already figured everything out.

Quite the opposite.

I'm saying it because I've been there.

Your Journey Doesn't Have to Be Finished Yet

So if you are looking at yourself today and thinking:

"I'm still a failure."

I want you to stop for a moment.

Look back.

What have you achieved that you are proud of?

Don't look for something huge.

Don't look for a promotion.

Don't look for a million-dollar business.

Don't look for something that will impress other people.

Just find one thing.

One thing you are proud of.

Maybe you survived something difficult.

Maybe you finally said no.

Maybe you learned something new.

Maybe you got out of bed when you didn't feel like it.

Maybe you started again.

Maybe you simply kept going.

Just one thing.

And then—

thank yourself for it.

Charity begins from home.

And I believe appreciation begins from home too.

Before you wait for somebody else to recognise you, recognise yourself.

Before you wait for somebody else to tell you that you have done well, tell yourself.

Before you wait for somebody else to give you permission to move forward, listen to your own voice.

My Own Thought Constipation

My Own Thought Constipation

After the pandemic started, I spent an enormous amount of time learning.

During the first year of the pandemic, I would say I spent almost 365 days learning something every day.

Zoom lesson after Zoom lesson.

Course after course.

Experience after experience.

I knew I was a coach.

I had already been a coach for several years.

But I wasn't really practising coaching at that time because I was working.

I knew I was good at managing.

I knew I was good at SOPs.

I knew I was good with human relationships.

I knew I could organise things.

I knew many things.

But I had not really coined down what I was good at.

I hadn't found the core.

Instead, I became greedy.

I wanted to do everything.

And when you want to do everything, sometimes you end up doing nothing properly.

That's what I call:

Thought constipation.

Too much information.

Too many possibilities.

Too many things you want to become.

And not enough space to hear yourself.

Then I Slowed Down

Eventually, I had to slow down.

I started recognising my core.

I started separating things.

Putting things into perspective.

Segmenting what I had learned.

Asking myself:

What is really mine?

What do I really want to bring forward?

What is useful?

What no longer serves me?

And eventually, something became clear.

I created my own platform:

Awakening Your Worth.

And at the heart of it is something very simple:

Inner Dialogue.

This journey didn't happen in one day.

It took years.

It took experimentation.

It took learning.

It took getting lost.

It took having too much information.

It took slowing down.

And it took listening to myself.

Come Back to Yourself

So when you come into this room at 9 a.m., you don't have to come here because you need me.

Come here because you need you.

Use this room to check in.

Use it to reconnect.

Use it to process.

Use it to release what no longer serves you.

Use it to recognise what still has value.

And most importantly—

Come back to yourself.

Because somewhere underneath all the information you have collected, all the expectations you have carried, and all the identities you have taken on,

there is still you.

Your Inner Dialogue is one way of finding your way back.

And when you find your way back to yourself, you don't necessarily become somebody new.

You simply remember who you have always been.

I'm Not Promoting Coaching. I'm Promoting You Back to You.

I'm Not Promoting Coaching. I'm Promoting You Back to You.

Sometimes people ask me:

"Peggy, you're doing TikTok Live all the time. Why aren't you promoting your coaching sessions more aggressively?"

And my answer is:

I'm not promoting a business.

I'm promoting you back to you.

What I want is for you to become curious enough about yourself that you want to have that coaching conversation.

Not because I want you to buy coaching.

But because you want to discover what is already inside you.

You want to take the values from your experiences and transform them back into yourself.

Because transformation, to me, is not about becoming somebody else.

Transformation is about going back to your core.

Use Your Thoughts — Don't Let Your Thoughts Use You

Use Your Thoughts — Don't Let Your Thoughts Use You

I still have negative thoughts.

I am not an angel.

I still get irritated.

I still get frustrated.

I still have moments when my thoughts run in directions I don't particularly like.

The difference is that I am becoming more mindful of what I do with those thoughts.

I don't want my energy to be zapped by thoughts that don't deserve my energy.

That doesn't mean I suppress them.

It means I notice them.

For example, I have always preferred stories with a happy ending.

Recently, I started challenging myself to watch stories that don't end well.

Instead of immediately saying:

"I don't like this."

I ask:

"Why did this happen?"

"What choices brought this person here?"

"If this person had made a different decision, would the outcome have changed?"

Now I am learning from what I am watching instead of simply judging it.

That is mindfulness to me.

Look.

Notice.

Learn.

Then bring it into Inner Dialogue.

The same applies to painful experiences.

Someone may hurt you.

Your mind may produce anger.

You may feel betrayed.

You may want revenge.

You may replay what happened again and again.

Those thoughts are real experiences.

But a thought is not automatically a command.

You can think:

"I hate what happened."

without allowing hatred to become your entire life.

You can acknowledge:

"I was hurt."

without allowing that person to continue controlling your present.

So I ask myself:

"What am I doing with this thought?"

Am I using it to understand myself?

Or am I allowing it to consume me?

This is where mindfulness gives me space.

Inner Dialogue gives me conversation.

And alignment gives me choice.

I don't need to have only positive thoughts.

I need to become more conscious of my thoughts.

Because I cannot control every thought that enters my mind.

But I can become more intentional about which thoughts I feed.

Which thoughts I explore.

Which thoughts I act upon.

And which thoughts I allow to pass.

So don't waste your thoughts.

Use your thoughts.

Learn from them.

Question them.

Understand them.

And when necessary, let them go.

Don't let every thought decide who you are.

When Life Tests Your Patience, Use Your Inner Dialogue

When Life Tests Your Patience, Use Your Inner Dialogue

You know why I'm smiling?

Because all my gadgets went haywire this morning.

My Touch 'n Go ran out of credit, and when I tried to get into my Maybank, it wasn't working.

My Pilates app wasn't working either. I couldn't reset it, and I don't even know why.

Then my PC started hanging.

It recorded my Live, but it couldn't process it.

And I'm sitting there thinking:

Okay, Peggy. This is testing your patience.

Isn't life funny?

Sometimes the very thing you are talking about suddenly appears in front of you.

I was just talking about patience, and then my gadgets decided to give me a practical examination.

What Do I Want?

When my Touch 'n Go wasn't working, I was almost frustrated.

I'm so used to using e-wallets now.

Everyone uses QR payments.

And suddenly, I'm standing in front of a vendor thinking:

"Hey, I have money in my wallet. Why can't I use it?"

That feeling can hit your ego immediately.

But I didn't let the frustration take over.

Instead, I asked myself:

What do I want?

I decided to use cash.

Long time no use cash!

And you know what?

It was fine.

The only thing was that I had to start dealing with those little coins again.

But it worked.

And that became another reminder:

When one way doesn't work, it doesn't mean nothing will work.

Sometimes you simply need another way.

Footnote: 120826 TikTok live transcript)

Patience Doesn't Mean You Stop Moving

Patience Doesn't Mean You Stop Moving

This is where I want to make a distinction.

When you have patience, sometimes you need to wait.

But sometimes patience has already done its job.

You have waited.

You have observed.

You have accepted.

And now—

you need to act.

That's when you need to release the patience button.

You don't keep saying, "I need to be patient."

No.

You need to move.

For me, that meant resetting my phone.

Resetting my PC.

Trying another way.

Finding solutions.

And interestingly, when I am not frustrated, the solutions come much more easily.

That is the power of Inner Dialogue.

The conversation becomes:

Okay. It happened. Accept it.

Then:

What's next?

And then:

Take action.

Awareness.

Conversation.

Alignment.

Simple.

Very fast.

Patience Is Also Part of Learning

And then I was looking at the lyrics of the song I'm learning.

Now, let me tell you something.

I am not Chinese-educated.

I am learning Chinese.

And this time, I'm learning Cantonese.

The words can look familiar, but the pronunciation is completely different.

So yes—

this is where I need patience.

I've been listening to this song for two days, and I still couldn't remember all the lyrics.

Previously, I might have thought:

"Why can't I remember this?"

But yesterday, while talking to everyone here, I had another conversation with myself.

Why don't I break the song into portions?

Four lines at a time.

That's what I did.

And suddenly, it worked.

I memorised the first portion.

Now I can work on the next portion.

Then another.

Eventually, I put everything together.

And something beautiful happens when you do that.

You almost begin to see the words transforming as the lyrics come out.

Suddenly, I can sing the song.

Not perfectly.

But I can sing it.

And that is progress.

I'm an Auntie With a Very Full Head

So yes, patience is needed.

Especially for an auntie like me.

Because I have so much information in my head.

So many thoughts.

So many things I want to learn.

And sometimes I ask myself:

Which one comes first?

That is exactly why I practise Inner Dialogue.

When I was feeling impatient about learning the song, the first level was awareness.

I cannot finish learning the song because I don't know the words.

Accept it.

I don't know.

But not knowing doesn't mean I'm weak.

It simply means:

This is something I can learn.

Then comes conversation.

How do I move this feeling out of the way?

Instead of becoming frustrated and trying to learn the entire song again and again, I asked myself what would actually help.

The answer was simple:

Break it down.

Four lines.

Then another four.

Then another.

And that immediately moved me into alignment.

Action.

I practised.

And I progressed.

That's how Inner Dialogue can work.

Awareness.

Conversation.

Alignment.

Sometimes it happens so quickly that you don't even realise you're doing it.

You notice.

You decide.

You act.

You move on.

You advance.

And then you do it again.

Even a Coach Is Still Learning

Even a Coach Is Still Learning

And this reminds me of something I was sharing about myself.

I am learning songs.

And yes, I was doing it wrong.

Actually, perhaps “wrong” isn't the right word.

I was simply learning it in a way that wasn't working for me.

Then suddenly, I realised something:

Why don't I just learn four lines at a time?

So yesterday, I tried it.

Four lines.

That's it.

And suddenly, it made so much more sense.

Now I can sing the first four lines.

Today, I'm going to learn the next four lines.

And eventually, when I have completed the whole song, maybe I'll sing it for you.

See?

This is also Inner Dialogue.

I noticed what wasn't working.

I had a conversation with myself.

And then I changed my approach.

That is alignment.

A Coach Is Human First

Sometimes we put coaches, teachers, healers and people in helping professions on a pedestal.

But let me remind you:

A coach is human first.

Before I am a coach, I am a human being.

I forget things.

I make mistakes.

I learn.

I experiment.

I get frustrated.

I discover new ways of doing things.

I sometimes need to stop and ask myself:

"Peggy, is this really working for you?"

And perhaps that is exactly what allows us to become better coaches.

Because when we remember what it feels like to be human, we can meet another human being where they are.

We don't have to pretend that we have everything figured out.

We simply need to be willing to listen—to ourselves and to others.

So perhaps the miracle is not something extraordinary arriving in your life.

Perhaps the miracle is much closer.

You woke up today.

You are here.

You have another opportunity to listen to yourself.

Another opportunity to choose.

Another opportunity to move.

Another opportunity to become more aligned with who you are.

And that, to me, is already a miracle.

Coach is always human first before they are a coach.

And perhaps being human is not something we need to overcome.

Perhaps being human is exactly where our wisdom begins.

Beyond the Circle: What Mandalas Taught Me About Inner Dialogue

Beyond the Circle: What Mandalas Taught Me About Inner Dialogue

There are moments in life when I simply cannot see the next step.

No matter how hard I think, analyze, or plan, the answer refuses to appear. In the past, I would become frustrated and push myself harder. Today, I have learned a different way.

I go inward.

One of the practices that has become part of my personal journey is drawing mandalas.

At first glance, it may look like creating beautiful patterns inside a circle. Yet for me, it is much more than art. It is a conversation with myself.

Every line, every shape, every colour carries a message. Sometimes I begin with a clear intention. At other times, I simply allow my hand to move without judgment. As the mandala unfolds, I notice my thoughts slowing down. My emotions begin to settle, and something deeper starts to emerge.

I am no longer trying to force an answer.

Instead, I allow the answer to reveal itself.

Carl Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist, drew and studied mandalas throughout his life. He regarded them as symbols of the Self and saw them as reflections of the unconscious mind moving towards wholeness. His work reminds us that healing is often not about adding more information, but about reconnecting with what already exists within us.

This resonates deeply with my work as an Inner Dialogue Coach.

Our inner dialogue shapes how we interpret the world, how we respond to challenges, and ultimately, how we see ourselves. When our inner dialogue is filled with fear, self-doubt, or old conditioning, we often lose sight of our own wisdom.

Drawing mandalas creates a pause.

In that pause, I begin listening instead of reacting.

I notice patterns instead of problems.

I become curious instead of critical.

Each mandala becomes a mirror—not because it predicts the future, but because it reflects what my conscious mind has overlooked.

Over time, I discovered something unexpected.

The more honestly I learned to see myself, the less I judged other people.

I began to look beyond performance, titles, achievements, and appearances. Every person carries invisible stories, silent struggles, forgotten dreams, and untapped strengths. My own inner work has allowed me to meet others with greater compassion and deeper curiosity.

This is what Awakening Your Worth means to me.

It is not about becoming someone new.

It is about remembering who you have always been beneath the expectations, labels, and noise.

Sometimes that journey begins with a conversation.

Sometimes it begins with silence.

And sometimes...

It begins with a simple circle drawn on a blank piece of paper.

Every person who walks into my life becomes part of this journey. Each conversation, each coaching session, each shared experience teaches me something about humanity and about myself.

For that, I remain deeply grateful.

Keep coming.

Together, let's continue discovering the wisdom that has always been within us.

Your Failure Is Not Your Identity

Your Failure Is Not Your Identity

I still fail.

There. I said it.

I am a coach.

I talk about Inner Dialogue.

I encourage people to become more aware of their thoughts and choices.

And yet I still get frustrated.

I still make mistakes.

I still get stuck.

I still have things I don't know how to solve.

The difference is that I am learning not to turn every failure into a statement about who I am.

Recently, I had trouble with one of my TikTok recordings.

For days, I couldn't figure out what was wrong.

I became frustrated because I wanted to solve it.

Eventually, a thought came:

"Why don't you check whether the recording has somehow been routed through the earphones?"

I checked.

And there it was.

The problem wasn't that I was incapable.

I simply hadn't looked in the right place.

I gave myself a thumbs-up.

After nearly two months of being stuck with the issue, I finally found the answer.

And it reminded me of something important:

A problem is not always a personal failure. Sometimes it is simply information we haven't discovered yet.

When something goes wrong, our thoughts can become very dramatic.

"I'm useless."

"Why can't I do this?"

"Everyone else knows except me."

"I should have known better."

And suddenly, one problem becomes ten problems.

This is where Inner Dialogue helps me.

Instead of asking:

"What's wrong with me?"

I can ask:

"What actually happened?"

"What haven't I considered?"

"What can I learn from this?"

"What's the next thing I can check?"

That shift is powerful.

Failure becomes information.

A mistake becomes a milestone.

A delay becomes an opportunity to discover another way.

I am not saying we should celebrate every failure.

Some mistakes hurt.

Some consequences are serious.

Some things take a long time to repair.

But we don't have to add unnecessary suffering by turning a mistake into an identity.

I can say:

"I failed at this."

without saying:

"I am a failure."

There is a difference.

I am still learning.

You are still learning.

And perhaps the real measure of progress isn't how often we fail.

Perhaps it is how quickly we can return to ourselves, learn from what happened, and take the next step.

I don't need to be perfect to be proud of myself.

Sometimes, I just need to solve one small problem and give myself a thumbs-up.

The Miracle Is Simply Waking Up to Another Day

The Miracle Is Simply Waking Up to Another Day

And then something happened during my Live today.

The system had a hiccup, and my recording stopped.

It just happened.

And perhaps that itself is a little reminder.

Sometimes things don't go according to plan.

But what exactly is a miracle?

When I talk about miracles, I don't mean that suddenly a brand-new Mercedes appears in front of you.

It doesn't necessarily mean receiving a 10K promotion.

It doesn't mean suddenly finding a new husband or wife—or having the perfect candidate appear right in front of you.

A miracle can be much simpler than that.

A miracle is waking up every morning and realising that you have another brand-new day.

A new day full of possibilities.

A day where you can make choices.

A day where you can decide, through your Inner Dialogue, what you want for yourself.

And wanting something for yourself is not selfish.

That is self-love.

When Technology Says "Not Yet"

When Technology Says "Not Yet"

Some days, life doesn't test our wisdom through people.

It tests us through a button that refuses to work.

Recently, I was recording my reflections in ChatGPT, as I often do. Speaking allows my thoughts to flow naturally. It has become part of my creative process—sharing from the heart, then allowing technology to help me transform those thoughts into words.

But that day, something unexpected happened.

The recording finished, yet it remained stuck on "Processing." The Send button never became available.

I waited.

Nothing.

I tried again.

Still nothing.

For a moment, frustration crept in. I wondered if all those heartfelt reflections had disappeared. Those moments cannot simply be recreated word for word because they come from a particular feeling, a particular presence.

Then I caught myself.

This wasn't just a technology problem.

It was another invitation into my inner dialogue.

Instead of allowing irritation to take over, I asked myself:

"What is this moment teaching me?"

The answer was surprisingly gentle.

The recording may be gone, but the wisdom isn't.

The words may have disappeared, but the experience remains alive within me.

So I began again.

Not by trying to remember every sentence, but by reconnecting with the feeling behind those sentences.

As I shared the experience with ChatGPT, we worked through what might have happened. It could have been a browser issue, an unstable connection, or simply a temporary glitch. More importantly, we discovered a practical way forward: record in shorter segments, save key insights along the way, and treat technology as a helpful companion rather than something I depend on completely.

The experience reminded me of something I often share with those I coach.

Life rarely asks us whether we can avoid problems.

It asks whether we can remain ourselves while solving them.

Technology will fail.

Plans will change.

Words may disappear.

But our ability to pause, breathe, reflect, and begin again—that is where our true worth lives.

Awakening Your Worth is never about having a perfect journey.

It is about trusting that your wisdom has not disappeared simply because the path became interrupted.

Sometimes, all we need to do is start again.

And perhaps the second version carries even more truth than the first.

Reflection

What have you been trying to recreate because you thought it was lost?

Perhaps it isn't the words that matter.

Perhaps it is the wisdom within you that is ready to be expressed again.

When You Have Thought Constipation

When You Have Thought Constipation

This is also why I talk about thought constipation.

Sometimes our minds are simply too full.

Thoughts come in and out so quickly that you cannot even remember what you were thinking about a few seconds ago.

Have you ever experienced that?

You can remember someone's face, but you cannot remember their name.

You know you were thinking about something, but suddenly—

it's gone.

That happens.

And when there are too many thoughts coming at once, your ability to conduct an Inner Dialogue becomes even more important.

You need to filter.

Then, from that filtering system, you decide:

Which thought needs my attention first?

I use the word attack because thoughts can come so quickly.

One after another.

Sometimes you don't even have time to catch them.

So don't try to solve everything at once.

Filter.

Choose.

Then work with one thought at a time.

Are You Living Your Life — Or Someone Else's?

Are You Living Your Life — Or Someone Else's?

Many of us don't realise how much of our life is shaped by expectations.

You are a daughter.

You are a son.

You become a mother.

A father.

A grandmother.

A grandfather.

A teacher.

A CEO.

A manager.

A staff member.

A partner.

A caregiver.

And every role comes with expectations.

You should be responsible.

You should be successful.

You should be strong.

You should take care of everyone.

You should make your family proud.

You should know what you're doing.

You should be the best.

But somewhere along the way, a strange thing can happen.

You become very good at being what everybody else needs...

and you forget how to simply be yourself.

Sometimes you go home and you are still carrying the role.

Nobody asked you to perform anymore, but you continue performing.

Nobody told you what to do, but you continue doing what you think you are supposed to do.

And then one day you ask:

"What do I actually want?"

That question can be surprisingly difficult.

This is one of the reasons I brought Inner Dialogue into my work with Awakening Your Worth.

I don't see Inner Dialogue as another topic that you learn and then forget.

I see it as an action.

A practice.

A way of communicating with yourself consistently.

Because even when you finish a coaching session, the coach eventually leaves the room.

Then what?

You go home with yourself.

You wake up with yourself.

You make decisions with yourself.

You face your thoughts with yourself.

You need to learn how to continue the conversation.

That is where Inner Dialogue becomes powerful.

Not because it gives you somebody else's answer.

But because it helps you discover your own.

I don't believe there should be one standard operating procedure for every human being.

People are not filing cabinets.

You cannot put Thought A into Box A, Thought B into Box B, and expect life to remain organised.

Your experiences are unique.

Your emotions are unique.

Your history is unique.

Your choices are yours.

So I can offer a process.

I can ask questions.

I can help you see something you may not have noticed.

But ultimately, you are the one who has to choose.

And perhaps that is part of awakening your worth:

Learning to distinguish between the voice that belongs to you and the voices you have carried from everyone else.

Ask yourself:

Is this what I really want?

Or is this what I was taught to want?

Is this my responsibility?

Or am I carrying someone else's expectation?

Is this my voice?

Or have I become very good at being somebody else's version of me?

You don't have to abandon your responsibilities.

You don't have to stop caring for others.

You don't have to become selfish.

But you do need to remember that there is a person underneath all those roles.

And that person is you.
